Privacy Policy for Scoredle
Last Updated: July 20, 2026
Introduction
Scoredle ("we," "our," or "us") operates a football quiz gaming application. This Privacy Policy explains how we collect, use, and protect information when you use our app.
Information We Collect
1. Automatically Collected Information
Analytics Data (via Firebase Analytics)
- Device information (model, operating system, unique device identifiers)
- App usage data (screens visited, time spent, features used)
- Performance data (app crashes, response times)
- General location (country/region level only, derived from IP address)
Crash Reports (via Firebase Crashlytics)
- Device state at time of crash
- Stack traces and diagnostic information
- App version and build information
2. Information You Provide
Game Progress Data
- Quiz scores, completion status, game state and preferences are stored on your device
- Daily scores are also submitted to our servers (Firebase) under a randomly generated player ID, to power community averages, leaderboards and Mini Leagues
Optional Account Sign-In (Sign in with Apple / Google)
- Signing in is entirely optional — the app is fully playable without an account
- If you choose to sign in, we receive and store the name and email address shared by Apple or Google (with Sign in with Apple you can hide your real email), used solely to back up your scores and league membership and let you restore them on another device
Display Name (optional)
- If you set a display name, it is stored on our servers and shown on leaderboards and in Mini Leagues
Bug Reports and Feedback (optional)
- If you send a bug report, we receive the details you type together with the quiz context and app version
- You may optionally include an email address if you would like a reply — it is used only to respond to your report and never for marketing
Purchases
- The optional ad-free pass is processed entirely by the App Store or Google Play — we never see your payment details
- We receive a store purchase receipt, which we verify with the store to activate your purchase
How We Use Information
We use collected information to:
- Improve app performance and fix bugs
- Understand how users interact with the app
- Optimize user experience
- Develop new features
- Diagnose and resolve technical issues
Data Sharing and Third Parties
Firebase (Google)
We use Firebase services provided by Google LLC. Firebase may collect and process data according to their privacy policy:
Google Analytics (Web Version)
The web version uses Google Analytics 4 (GA4) to understand how users interact with the site. GA4 collects anonymous usage data including page views and events. See Google's Privacy Policy.
Google AdMob (Mobile App)
The mobile app uses Google AdMob to show interstitial ads between quizzes and optional rewarded video ads. When an ad is served, AdMob may collect:
- Advertising ID (Android) or IDFA (iOS)
- Device information (model, OS version)
- IP address (for general location/ad targeting)
- Ad interaction data (views, clicks)
AdMob data is processed by Google according to their privacy policy. Rewarded ads are always user-initiated, and an optional ad-free pass removes interstitial ads entirely. In the EEA/UK we ask for your consent choices before serving ads, and on iOS ads are only personalised if you allow tracking via the system prompt.
No Sale of Data
We do not sell, trade, or rent your information to third parties.
Advertising
The mobile app shows interstitial ads (Google AdMob) between quizzes and offers optional, user-initiated rewarded video ads that unlock bonus plays. You can opt out of personalised ads via your device settings or the in-app privacy options, and remove interstitial ads with the ad-free pass.
Data Retention
- Analytics data: Retained for 60 days, then automatically deleted
- Crash reports: Retained for 90 days, then automatically deleted
- Local game data: Remains on your device until you uninstall the app
- Account and leaderboard data (scores, display name, league membership, sign-in details): Retained until you delete your account in the app
- Bug reports: Retained while we investigate the issue; any reply email address is used only for that report
Your Rights
You have the right to:
- Access: Request information about data we collect by contacting us at scoredlefun@gmail.com
- Deletion:
- Local data: Uninstalling the app removes all game progress and preferences from your device
- Account data: Settings → Delete account permanently removes your account, scores, display name and league membership from our servers
- Analytics/crash data: Server-side data (Firebase) is automatically deleted after 60-90 days retention period. To request immediate deletion, contact scoredlefun@gmail.com
- Opt-out: Disable analytics collection through your device settings (see below)
How to Opt Out of Analytics
- Android: Settings → Google → Ads → Opt out of Ads Personalization
- iOS: Settings → Privacy → Analytics & Improvements → Share Analytics → Off
Children's Privacy
Our app is suitable for users of all ages. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. No account creation or personal information is required to use the app; sign-in and all personal fields are optional.
Data Security

- Optional sign-in is handled by Apple or Google — we never see or store passwords
