Top 10 is Scoredle's classic trivia format — each day you're presented with a new Premier League top 10 list question, and your job is to name as many of the 10 answers as possible. The twist? You only have 3 lives, so every wrong guess brings you closer to game over. It's the ultimate test of Premier League general knowledge.
With over 300 unique questions in rotation, the categories span the full breadth of Premier League history. You might face all-time goalscoring charts one day and club-specific appearance records the next. Some questions are well-known lists that most fans could attempt; others dig into the kind of stats that only the most dedicated supporters would know.
How to Play
- Read the question. Each day features a different top 10 list, such as "Top 10 Premier League Goalscorers" or "Top 10 Players with Most Assists for Arsenal."
- Type your answer. Enter the name of a player (or team, depending on the question) that you think appears in the top 10.
- Correct answers reveal their rank. If your guess is correct, it appears in the list at its proper position with the relevant stat.
- Wrong answers cost a life. You start with 3 lives (three hearts). Each incorrect guess removes one.
- Find all 10 or run out of lives. The game ends when you've named all 10 answers or lost all 3 lives.
Key Rules
- 3 Lives System: You start with three lives. Every wrong answer costs one life. There's no way to earn lives back, so be thoughtful with your guesses.
- Alternate Names Accepted: The quiz accepts common name variations. For example, "Mo Salah" and "Mohamed Salah" are both valid. Player nicknames and shortened names are supported where possible.
- Order Doesn't Matter: You can guess the answers in any order. Whether you start with number 1 or number 10, correct answers slot into their proper rank position.

You guess "Lampard" — Correct! Appears at #6 with 177 goals. (+2 points)
Continue guessing until you find all 10 or lose your remaining lives.
Types of Questions
The question pool covers a wide range of Premier League statistics and records, including:
- All-time records: Top goalscorers, most assists, most appearances across the entire Premier League era
- Club-specific lists: Top scorers for a particular club, most appearances for a team, leading assist providers
- Season records: Highest-scoring seasons, most clean sheets in a campaign, golden boot races
- Positional categories: Top-scoring defenders, most prolific midfielders, goalkeepers with the most clean sheets
- Nationality-based: Top French goalscorers in the Premier League, most-capped Spaniards, leading African players
Strategy Tips
Start with certainties. Begin with answers you're absolutely confident about. Building up correct answers first means you can afford to take risks with your remaining lives on trickier entries.
Think broadly across eras. Premier League history spans over 30 years. Don't just think about current players — legends from the 1990s and 2000s dominate many all-time lists.
Read the question carefully. "Top 10 Premier League goalscorers" is very different from "Top 10 goalscorers in the 2023-24 season." The specifics of the question determine which era and which players are relevant.
Use your lives wisely. If you have 2 lives left and 3 answers to find, you can only afford one more wrong guess. Consider whether it's worth guessing a borderline answer or saving your lives for more confident picks.
